Did you know that an adult cat has about 230 bones in its body? That's more than humans, who have around 206 bones! The difference in bone count comes from the fact that cats have more bones in their tail, also known as the caudal vertebrae, compared to humans. This allows cats to be more flexible and agile, helping them land on their feet even when they fall from a height.

Dogs have been used for hunting alongside humans for centuries, with their keen sense of smell, speed, and agility making them valuable hunting companions. One of the most iconic images of dogs hunting is the pursuit of rabbits, a practice that dates back to ancient times.

Tips For Acclimating Cats To Carriers

Carrying your cat in a carrier is essential for their safety and well-being during travel, whether it's a trip to the veterinarian or a longer journey. However, many cats find being in a carrier stressful, which can make travel challenging for both pet and owner. To make the experience more comfortable for your feline friend, there are several tips you can follow.

First, it's important to choose the right carrier. Opt for a carrier that is spacious enough for your cat to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably. A carrier with a removable top can make it easier to place your cat inside without having to force them through the front door.

To help your cat acclimate to the carrier, leave it out in your home with the door open so they can explore it at their own pace. Place familiar bedding or a favorite toy inside to make it more inviting. You can also feed your cat inside the carrier to create positive associations.
